My work invites curiosity and a sense of lightness. Inspired by food, places, and moments in between, each piece captures an essence, bringing warmth, playfulness, and a thoughtful calm into everyday spaces.

My Practice

I tune into art like tuning into a song. I listen, strip away the noise, and let it come through.

Like preparing a quiet meal, my process is layered, color, rhythm, and feeling, shaped by contrast and care. I leave the imperfections in because that’s where the story lives.

Different elements come together, like people, creating something familiar, unexpected, and quietly alive. I paint to connect with feeling, memory, and the energy that reminds us we’re alive.

And I hope that somewhere in the layers, you feel a spark of your own aliveness, too.

ARTIST FRIENDS

I share my tips, tricks, and lessons not because there’s one right way to make art, but because I know how much encouragement and clarity can help along the way. Painting has given me space to explore, make mistakes, and trust myself — and I want to pass that on.

My courses and workshops are an extension of that belief: simple, supportive ways to help you show up, play, and keep going with your art practice.

If you’re curious to go a little deeper, you can explore all current courses and workshops here:

From Collector’s Perspective

I purchase a small snack piece of art several years ago and am still in love with it. The colors and texture are amazing and really speak to me. I usually rotate the art I’ve collected but this small artwork always stays on the wall. I’ve also purchased a couple of art instruction videos that are good quality and never cease to amaze me. Nino makes it look so easy which means he has spent thousands of hours to become a master of his art. The best compliment I can give an artist is this: Your art is so interesting I always find something to intrigue me when I look at it, whether it’s the way the light changes a color, a brushstroke or a shadow in the texture. There’s always something interesting in it to find and love.
~ Paula Weed

Nino’s beautiful painting is the centerpiece of our dining area and kitchen in our home. It is alive and joyous, and perfectly compliments the design of our home. We love it, and couldn’t imagine our home without it! Thank you Nino for your creative spirit and mission to bring people together with your creative artistic gifts.
~ Nelle & Matt

I'm a big fan of your art -- including your clever titles. The fact that you included a thank-you note when you shipped my art AND later sent me a stamped postcard -- with your art on the cover -- I could mail to a friend was the icing on the cake!
~ Page Leggett

Love my new painting!
It was even more gorgeous when it arrived in person.

~ Jennifer Kramer

Beautiful work!
I look forward to more pieces.

~ Crista Bresnahan

We purchased a beautiful piece from you at an open studio last summer at your Ballard studio. My husband wasn’t familiar with your work but was quite taken with it. The process couldn’t have been more seamless. And a year later we are loving our painting as much as the day we purchased it!
~ Pamela Madigan

The art is truly unique. The colors draw you in and the composition makes you think. Out of all of the art works I own, Nino’s pieces are by far my favorite.
~ Cristy Miller

I like the abstract color combinations and expressions and bought a small artwork and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived.
